Alianza Medellín Cero Hambre

Although Medellín is reknown for its social initiatives, the warmth of its people, and the trasnformation it has undergone in the past decades, the city still faces many challenges it wishes to tackle. One of these is the constant influx of people who have relocated to the city looking for more opportunities as well as the lack of access for those who are native to the city, but may be in vulnerable situations, resulting in 90,000 families or nearly 315,000 people who are now facing hunger and severe manultrition.
Many of these individuals are children, teens and the elderly who are unable to fend for themselves. But the social sector, the private companies, the Distrito de Medellín, and local and international donors have come together to help these families in their moment of need by providing meal kits for the most vulnerable in the city.
Give To Colombia is proud to once again partner with Presentes Corporación, who led our efforts in the reconstrucion of Providencia, as they now help lead this alliance. Through this campaign, we hope to reach an additional 700 individuals or 200 families by providing them with the proper nutrition for a period of 6 months.
Although the city of Medellín has stepped up and has helped support nearly 2,000 families to date, we hope the international community will now join our efforts! For your information:
- $72 will feed one person for half a year.
- $250 will feed a family for half a year!
