Supporting Casa Hogar Madre Elisa

Casa Hogar Madre Elisa is a foundation based in the city of Tunja, Boyacá that provides care, stability, and educational opportunities for girls whose families are facing economic hardship or other challenges. The home offers a safe, nurturing environment to promote physical and emotional well-being while their families work towards greater stability.
Unfortunately, nearly 35% of children and teens in Boyacá grow up in households where families struggle to meet basic needs. Casa Hogar Madre Elisa responds by providing a temporary home for girls ages 5 to 17 who are experiencing neglect, social vulnerability, or challenging family situations.
Beyond meeting basic needs, the home provides girls with academic guidance, psychological support and attention through Fundación Sin Limite IPS, and opportunities to participate in music, theatre and art workshops. They also learn basic life skills that foster confidence and resilience.
For many years, Casa Hogar Madre Elisa received funding as an operator within Colombia’s national family welfare system through the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare. Due to changes in government funding, this support ended in July 2022. Since then Casa Hogar Madre Elisa has relied on small fundraising events, bake sales, and raffles to make ends meet. While donations have helped ensure food, clothing, and school supplies for the girls, the home now urgently needs support to cover basic monthly operating costs and building maintenance.
With your support, they would be able to cover their monthly water, gas, electricity, and internet bills for 2026 as well as provide a nutritional support, allowing them to focus more on the educational and emotional well-being of the girls in their care.
Please help us support Casa Hogar Madre Elisa in their mission to assist these girl and young women. To read more about the foundation, please click here.
