About G2C UK
G2C U.K. is a United Kingdom based charity whose mission is aligned with Give To Colombia’s, as it also seeks to support local grassroot organizations in Colombia and Latin America through the implementation of sustainable high-impact projects.
Our Goal
G2C U.K. was created with the intention to generate an even greater impact for Colombia and Latin America. It was approved by the Charities Commission on February 28th, 2022.

Board of Trustees - UK
The G2C U.K. Board of Trustees is responsible for developing strategic fundraising solutions that allows to support education initiatives, to encourage health and nutrition, to champion the arts, and heritage, as well as to promote sustainable development; through the conservation of the environment, the relief of poverty of disadvantaged communities, or the promotion of sustainable means of achieving economic growth.
Martín E. Díaz Plata
Chairman
Born and raised in Bucaramanga, and based in London since 2003, Mr. Díaz Plata is a Managing Partner of Capital Group Private Markets. He currently serves on the board of directors of Koba Colombia, Tanner Servicios Financieros (Chile), and Dentalia (Mexico). Mr. Díaz Plata has over 30 years of experience in the financial services sector. He holds a degree in Finance and International Relations of Universidad Externado de Colombia and holds an MBA from Columbia University.
Mr. Diaz Plata is passionate about funding sustainable, lean, and well-managed charities targeting the needs of the most vulnerable members of the Colombian society.
Laura Laurence
Trustee
Ms. Laurence is a UK-based Colombian philanthropist whose charitable efforts and supported causes on infancy, health, education and poverty reduction have been serving families in Colombia for over 15 years. For the past decade, she has donated her experience, time, and skills to bring together global international partners and additional funding to hundreds of philanthropic projects in Latin America.
While pursuing her many interests, she has become an accomplished Patron of the arts, a Council member of the Serpentine Galleries, and a Patron of the English National Ballet, the Dulwich Opera Company and the Polka Theatre in Wimbledon.
Jose R. Puyana
Trustee
With 17 years of expertise in corporate affairs, international expansion, and public policy, Mr. Puyana serves as a Principal Consultant at Cadence Innova where he contributes to strategy and change management for public sector clients. His prior roles span Europe and Latin America in both public and private sectors, including leading ProColombia's European operations. Notable achievements include expanding Colombian market presence to over 20 markets and facilitating international investment. He led initiatives with a focus on ESG and impactful change management during his tenure at ProColombia. In his roles with the Colombian government and the United Nations he contributed to poverty alleviation and social transformation initiatives in Colombia. Jose’s qualifications include an MBA from Bayes Business School, a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor’s degree in Government and International Relations from Externado University in Colombia.
Angela M. Tafur
Trustee
Ms. Tafur is the founder and Chairman of G2C USA and is the Executive Director of LAVCA in NYC. She sits in the board of Sura Group in Colombia and served as In-House Counsel to Bancolombia, as well as legal advisor to the Superintendent of Securities for Colombia. Her diversified experience and her passion for philanthropy have led her to serve on the United Way Woman’s Leadership Council of Miami-Dade, and to act as a mentor for the Babson WIN Growth Lab Venture Accelerator 2018/19 Cohort for women entrepreneurs. She is a trustee for the Nature Conservancy.
She holds a law degree from Universidad Javeriana and a Masters of Law from Cornell University.

Dr. Ivan Guevara
Dr. Ivan Guevara is an experienced international lawyer with a solid academic background including an LL.M in International Business Legal Studies from Exeter University, an M.Phil. in Latin American Studies from Cambridge University and a Ph.D. in Corporate Law also from Cambridge University. He is an expert in corporate groups’ regulation, mergers & acquisitions, and has more than 30 years’ relevant experience as senior legal counsel having held senior positions in large companies mostly based in London, US and Middle East. He was founder and former CEO of Land Economics Management Consultants and also former Deputy General Counsel at Sustainable Forestry Management, one of the largest operators and project developers in sustainable forestry and forestry carbon. He is the founder and CEO of Natural Capital Group and he is a very active senior legal consultant in London.
