Imagine if millions of people could help you achieve your dreams by simply donating $1 or $10? You could design the next big invention, go to college, or even start your own business. Countless of sites had already fulfilled this need for many individuals, but none of these worked in Colombia.

Little Big Money was created with the hope of giving social entrepreneurs in Colombia a way to help their projects come to life. By connecting thousands of people to these entrepreneurs, each one became part of a community in which small steps lead to big change. G2C supported the first ever crowdfunding platform in Colombia by making Little Big Money accessible to people all over the world.

The donations received through Little Big Money were used to  directly support microbusinesses and projects in rural, neglected areas of Colombia. These contributions also enabled families to live their ambitions and decide for themselves how to manage, grow, and invest their resources. Through Fundación Capital FundaK, entrepreneurs received capital, as well as technical support.

The entrepreneurs supported through Little Big Money worked to make a change by creating projects with a positive social or environmental impact. One such project was “Litro de Luz” where plastic bottles were recycled and used with solar panels to create street lights in poor neighborhoods. This idea was designed by Camilo Herrera and his team, and has now reached as far as Ghana and Kenya.

To date, Give To Colombia has helped the platform support 111 micro-entrepreneurial projects.
