You can bid for 50 statuettes intervened by the same number of artists from different regions.
The art industry has been, over the years, a meeting point between the Raizal community of Providencia and the tourists who visit, year after year, this national paradise in the Caribbean Sea.
But the passage of Hurricane Iota devastated everything and it is time to support the islanders not only so that their houses and institutions are back on their feet, but also so that their restaurants, which help move their economy, reopen their doors.
To give them a boost, an auction will be held this December 3, supported by Johnnie Walker and Espacio Odeón, which is done through the Stand Up Providence initiative, led by Tamarin Foundation, Give To Colombia, Corporación Antioquia Presente, Fi Providence and Grupo Argos Foundation.
In total, 50 Colombian artists from different regions participated in the auction. They intervened 50 statuettes of the walker that identifies the brand of whiskey (which celebrates 200 years), and that will be auctioned from 7 p.m. virtually on the website keepwalking200espacioodeon.com and on YouTube.
To participate you must be of legal age and register on the page. There is the information of the statuettes, their authors and the starting value of the bid, which can be done in advance. Starting prices range between 1,000,000 and 3,000,000 pesos, according to the work.
There are works by artists such as Adriana Bernal, Anamaría Gutiérrez de Piñeres, Carlos Salas, Daniel Correa, Evelyn Tovar, Franklin Aguirre, Kindi Llatju, Maripaz Jaramillo, Miguel Böhmer, Rodrigo Echeverri, Tahuanty Jacanamijoy, Ximena Escobar and Ana Mosseri, among others, who They worked for 4,000 hours to intervene with these supportive walkers.
