Give To Colombia once again rejoined the América Viva Alliance for the 3rd PanAmerica Benefit Gala.

The event began with a red carpet event held at the Knight Concert Hall’s lobby at 6:00 PM where celebrities and supporters of the cause gathered. It proceeded to the main stage where the night’s Masters of Ceremony, Patricia Janiot and Alberto Sardiñas, presented the Inca Garcilaso Medal to two very special individuals born in the Americas who have greatly contributed in the fields of Art and Philahtropy. This year, the medals were awarded to salsa icon Willy Chirino for his long-standing career of over 50 years, and to Nydia Quintero, Colombian civic leader and founder of the NGO Solidaridad por Colombia.

The award ceremony was followed by an adapted version of the AMÉRICA VIVA! show with the special participation of Willy Chirino as well  14-time Grammy winner Paquito D’Rivera. They were joined on stage by flamenco star Rafael Campallothe Miami Children’s Chorus, the New Land Dance Company, and the América Viva Band.

The night proceeded with the crowd moving to the terrace of the Frost Museum of Science for a VIP Cocktail & Afterparty. Here, attendees were treated to a silent auction of AVA’s 2023 Art Collection titled “Migration: Flyways of the Americas“. This collection was curated by Adriana Meneses and Alex Brahim, and counts with the collaboration of over 30 artists whose work was inspired by the migratory birds of the Americas and by AUDUBON‘s efforts as one of the oldest and most respected organizations in the world dedicated to the conservation of birds and their habitats.
