FedEx Supports Education in Colombia

COLOMBIA, April 2008, FedEx, the company of express air transport and logistics solutions more largest in the world is linked to the Computadores program to Educate, through the Give To Colombia Foundation. This is how FedEx has transported tools technology, between computers and printers, free of charge from the United States to Colombia, to be reconditioned and delivered in the educational centers with the greatest needs in the country.

FedEx, one of the largest multinationals and successful companies in the global market has participated in various social responsibility programs in Colombia, in response to its commitment to the country and support for local development.

In this way “Give to Colombia”, a non-profit Foundation based in the United States whose objective is to create, promote and facilitate alliances between international donors and the private sector, public and social to support the channeling of resources to the sectors most in need of Colombia, handed over to FedEx the mission of transporting educational tools since last October to date.

“Give to Colombia” as part of its Mega Project of Education and Digital Inclusion throughTechnology is supporting the “Computers for Education” program in the United States, which is led by the Presidency of the Republic with the participation of the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Education, SENA and several partners from the private company

With the support of FedEx, “Give to Colombia” has benefited more than 10,000 people in Colombia, including that are young students of limited resources, teachers and professors of the schools public and the community surrounding the beneficiary institutions.
